So I've had a similar sort of situation so thought I'd jump into this thread instead of starting another similar one. Hope that's ok. Finally purchased a D7100 body today new, from a very reputable and long established family run business in the city nearest to me. Anyway got got home and everything looks fine. All components seem to neatly packed and in plastic where you would expect it. The user manual isn't in a bag, like I have seen on some YouTube videos, it just sitting loose. Anyway this maybe the nom for Europe. I know the US one comes in plastic but it has a Spanish and English version whereas the European only has English, so maybe it's normal to be packed like this. What at caught my attention finally were there were a couple of items missing that I'm pretty sure should be there. Pi didn't notice at first, but went looking for the warranty card so I could claim online for the cash back offer, and noticed there wasn't one in the box! Also the cd software that should come in the box also wasn't there. Now I don't use the software but the point is it should be there. I can't get in contact with them direct now until Monday which is a real pain. No camera to use as I have it all packed away again and sold my other camera yesterday. It was also a 25 mile drive each way and I went in specifically to get the camera. I'll be in work Monday so don't know what I'll do. Surely these two items should be in the box? I don't really care about the cd but the warranty card? So disappointed. Was looking forward to today for a long time.
