Pretty much my first macro shot ever. I've used macro mode on my old zoom lens, but had no idea what I was really doing. For this shot I used a Raynox DCR-250 and my longest lens (85mm). Was sitting on a lamp, safe from my cats...so I had to tip toe and try to shoot a sharp shot.
I realized why people use tripods and focus stacking and IS/VR lenses for macro work! This is f/11, 1/250, ISO 200 handheld. I would have liked to have stopped down even more and a used a longer lens to get even closer. I had to crop this quite a bit.
This was a blast though and even more fun editing
