It has been a while since I have been on Nikonites. Where did I go? Well, no where, really. I purchased a Nikon D850 a year ago and fell in love with that camera. The D800 now sits as my back up on some jobs. I have not been using it very much just because the D850 is like a light year ahead in capability, and yet, there is still a ton of life and usability left in the D800. See some of the images below. I recently took it on an assignment to photograph Debbie Harry of Blondie for PlanetNikon Photographer. I put the Nikon 300mm f4E PF lens on it and it was an amazing combination. Got some of my best images of the evening from it. If any of you are interested in a free download of that issue, you have to JOIN my FACEBOOK GROUP. The download post is pinned at the top of the group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1327466460679207/ The process for the next issue will begin most likely in February of 2019, if you are interested in contributing. Images below are all taken with the D800 and the Nikkor 200-400mm f4G VR, hand held. OH!! Not the first on... that was with the Nikkor 24mm f1.8. Since I used this folder to show off the capabilities of the D800, I was posting more often when I was using it often but I have really moved on 100% pretty much to my D850. Sweet, sweet camera. I might start up a similar folder with that.
