My Days With Nikon Could Be Numbered

What this doesn't say is that I think Nikon is in any way better. What I've learned is that they're just different. For everything I'd gain I'd lose something I'd miss. The truth is that if I ever decide to ratchet up the rig then, should circumstances remain the same, I'll likely jump. Until then, I'm happy not to have to retrain myself.

Great write up and I appreciate you taking the time to walk through your thought process! Even for someone just looking at whether to upgrade their existing Nikon kit, there are some useful nuggets there to help ... so thanks for helping me! :)

In rereading my quoted nugget I want to make sure that I'm clear. What I should have said is, "The truth is that if I ever decide to ratchet up the rig then, should circumstances remain the same, I'll likely jump, but only because of the perks mentioned in my initial post."

I was just quoting the conclusion and the first two sentences caught my attention. ;) Still, thanks again for making sure the intent was crystal clear!

Learning all that new gear would just be too much for this old dog but it sounds like a no brained for you Jake. As for me; they will have to pry my Nikon from my cold, dead fingers. Besides, you may try that stuff and just not like it
