Almost went with the D5100 with 18-105 and Tokina 10-17.

But I love -all in one- and results I have seen are very impressive.

It's coming to room temperature in my room.

More soon.

Looking forward to car shows with it.!

Handles nice - I feel real good about this one. I used to love my Nikon e8400 and e8800
This one is both combined with 2x the mp's.

I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of these 800/900 ISO pics. Until recently, in my opinion, in the "super-zoom" category Nikon was lagging behind Canon, Olympus, damn Sony-Boy, and even Fuji, especially when it comes to shooting in a poor light and at ISO speeds higher than, say, 400. I also could not stand (and still cannot) the Nikon 1 line (IMHO the biggest blunder Nikon have ever made). Being a devotee of Nikon for more than 40 years, I'm glad that things have changed for better with the new line of full frame mirrorlress cameras and these new super-mega-giga zoomers...

Your camera does take nice photos, I’m impressed.

I’m sad to see the Nikon 1 go, it had a lot of promise but the price range was to expensive.

I liked the fact that combined with the FT1 you could use your Nikkor glass on the 1.

With native lenses the 1 series was in its own class for AF-C, with the FT-1 i have used loads of lenses, currently the sigma 100-400
