I made a comment about leaving work for a "situation" earlier and did not want to muddle up the photo forums. "Off Topic" is perfect as this is exactly that... We got the call at 4:00am this morning that my wife's mom passed away. Her brother called (they are in Texas). I went into work but my wife was flying down tomorrow so I came home to make all the arrangements for flight, transportation and to arrange our 1/3 payment for the expense. Hence my 365 was a little light today and likely will be the next day or 2, along with me not on the forum as much. Mary Polk was 91 years old and had a good life. At 89, her health started to decline (dementia) but even at 90, was doing reasonably well. 3 weeks before my wife went down the end of April, they put her in a home as she was beyond caring for at her brothers. So effectively, the last year she was declining. She is now at peace, and no longer suffering. Her quality of life had diminished to where she could not even feed herself. My wife is doing well, as we were expecting this... She fly's out tomorrow noon to Austin and will stay with her brother in San Marcos Texas. Funeral is likely Saturday and tentatively she is booked home on Tuesday. I will be back to work tomorrow but no free time as my break will be getting her to the airport and the same with Monday/Tuesday as I will have to come home mid-day to take care of the dogs. Daileys will be there but could well be just snaps ... Again, we are doing well, my wife is ok, knowing her mom is no longer suffering... Thanks All, Pat in NH
