Message: <blockquote data-quote="TonyD315" data-source="post: 351987" data-attributes="member: 19804"><p>Thats exactly what I was trying to do.  There are usually some nice sunsets down there, with my fiancée's family's house being right on the bay, so I try to get some good shots every time I'm down there.  My goal was to try to catch as much of the colors of the sky as possible.  I read about spot metering and gave it a try.  I've seen some great sunsets, but never before have I seen the reds and purples/pinks in the sky like that.  I wanted to keep the focus of the picture on the sky.  I did very little editing in Lightroom, just darkened the blacks a little, darkened the orange a little and bumped up the clarity.  I didn't want to overwork the colors, if I slid the luminance too far right it looks wrong...</p></blockquote><p></p>
