Mono Pod advice needed

Jack, what ball head would you suggest? Time is short.. the airshow is this weekend. lol I'm sweating bullets.

btw, I'm 6' so I need a tall mono pod. I'm heading to the camera shop right after work Friday. Hopefully, they will have what I need.

After 2 yrs I have yet to decide on a mono pod. Initially, I have tried not to use a tripod but in many situations, it is necessary to use tripod. For example night photography.

I have considered a tripod with a leg removal as tripod. The sale person convience me not to because it is shorter than standard monopod. Now I thought that wasn't a wise decision.

I feel the tripod is also very much a monopod, it is just the weight that matters. So, I would say buy a light weight but good tripod. You don't want you expensive camera to be mounted on a cheap tripod.
