[QUOTE="Moab Man, post: 246278, member: 11881"] Day 12 - 7500+ Miles and still going! I was outside giving my mountain bike a little loving care and maintenance tonight when I decided to look at the odometer. This bike and myself have been racing in Europe, the United States, and two 24 hour mountain bike races. We have retired from racing three times now. To say the least, we both have the dings and scars to show for it. Most of the bike is still the original components or early-on upgrades. And later this summer, we will race one more 24 hour race because were both stupid aaaannnd we will probably retire again. So as I said, I was looking at the odometer for the first time in a few years and found I was just about to tick over 7,500 miles recorded plus about two years of racing that are not included on this computer (previous computer died due to a river crossing during a race in Germany). This gave me an idea to shoot this specific part of the bike as it is most likely the single most worked part on the bike; the rear gears, chain, and derailleur. Nothing spectacular, but together we have been through hell and back and a few beers - the beers were a race in Germany where at the check-in points they gave you BEER! What a race, what a country!
