Here's the first photo I've ever submitted for critique!
I hadn't looked at it since I took it two weeks ago, until editing all my Greek holiday shots today. I'm quite pleased, possibly mainly because it reminds me of those awful cheesy air-brushed 1980s posters of pussy willow in a vase or, indeed, mountains over the sea as the sun gets lower... In this case, taken from a moving ferry with pesky children playing under my feet!
Image is heavily cropped. I debated and played with the horizon line location and would never normally go half/half, but was so entranced by the contrasting textures I though I'd be bold and go with it. Almost looks like a collage, rather than a real photo.
Surprised that I either misjudged the position of the polariser or it was just too damn sparkly, but again, I like that and think it contributes to that textural contrast.
