We were about 20 miles from a major city and 10 miles away from a couple of smaller towns. To much light pollution. We are having to drive 1.5 hours to get to what should be dark skies.  Using <a href="http://www.jshine.net/astronomy/dark_sky/" target="_blank">Dark Sky Finder</a> to find dark sky in my area. If you look for Montgomery, Alabama on that map you will see what I am having to contend with. Going out to the National Parks around Moab, Utah in September and hope to find some really dark skies out there so want to practice some before I go.</p></blockquote><p></p>
