Memorial Day 2024

Today is Memorial Day here in the US. On this day we honor and remember our fallen heroes who gave their lives serving our great nation.

My father's stuff I managed to hold on to after he died 42 years ago. The military watches from my collection. My father is the portrait on the left, on the right is his older brother (Jay). Dad served in West Germany keeping the Russians on their side of things. Jay fought in Korea, was at Pork Chop Hill. Look up the Hollywood movie. He did not quite get over some Covid in 2021.

Not pictured but still missed is their younger brother Denny who died just over a year ago and was an army military policeman. My brother Tim was a seaman in the US Navy and died in 2022.
