MB-D11 Problem

I just purchased an MB-D11 battery pack and when I have it connected to my D7000 it seems to lose connection? The battery symbol on top of the camera keeps flashing on and off, and if I push on the bottom of the MB-D11 it seems to get a better connection and stop flashing. I've made sure both of my batteries were fully charged and the MB-D11 is secured tightly. Has anyone had issues with this?

Is it a genuine Nikon MB-D11 or an aftermarket or counterfeit?

It is genuine Nikon.

It still functions properly, but seems to be losing the battery connection from the MB-D11.

I would check that the battery contacts and the grip contacts are clean. Also check to see if anything is bent.
