May be on a vacation from shooting for a while

A few weeks ago I fell down some stairs and landed on my shoulder. Yes it hurt but I thought it would be okay. It was sore but I can use it so hoping it would just go away. Well three weeks later and no better so I sent to the Doctor today and was told it was probably a torn rotator cuff. I go for a MRI next Monday and back to the Doctor Tuesday. If he is right in his diagnosis then surgery will follow and I will be not shooting for a while.

Bummed.

Yikes, that's a bummer. I feel your pain, literally. I tore mine on a tennis court about 4 years ago. Could not lift my arm above shoulder level without excruciating pain. The orthopaedist had me do exercises 4 times a dayusing a long, red, for lack of a better term, rubber band, along with NSAIDS. It took about 6 months to resolve but it saved me from going under the knife.

This shouldn't stop you from taking photos ;) just use one arm and a tripod :).

But yes sure is a bummer, my mate who just broke his wrist is in the same boat and is working out ways to take photos with a cast on lol. Take it easy and get well soon mate.

That's great news Don! The doc's will no doubt give you one of those big "rubber bands" to tie off to a doorknob and stick under your foot. It will hurt like crap at first but as time goes on it will start to feel better and better. It took me about 6 months of stretching that thing and taking NSAIDS TID to finally overcome it but it will come, just be patient!

Good to hear that Don. Rehab is good. I hear Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen are both in rehab right now. Maybe you'll meet one of them.
