It does not get closed or put up till the Card comes out of the computer and back in the camera. Same for the battery. I have 5 batteries for the two cameras. When I get home from a shoot I pull the battery out and put it on charge. I then take a fully charged battery and put it in the camera so it is ready to go. Also for uncharged batteries the plastic cap is never put on. That way I know it needs charging and once I pull it off the charger the cap goes back on and it goes back in the camera case.   Yes I have forgotten the battery or SD card before so that is the reason for the OCD behavior now.</p></blockquote><p></p>
