We don't, but one year we had quite a few ice storms which easily left 1-1/2" to 2" of ice on our driveways and walks. The stores sold out of the traditional calcium chloride and rock salt so a salesperson suggested I try some water softening pellets which were at least as big as a large vitamin. I scattered some of them around, and later I was able to use a straight edged shovel as an ice chipper to break the ice into large chunks. That was the only way to clear the walks and driveway. Be careful out there. It sure looks treacherous even for 4-wheel drive vehicles!</blockquote>
