Here we go with fuji pics. I hope I won't be corrupting too many Nikon fans to switching brands. I still use both, but maybe I now use Fuji a lot more.

It was around -17 Celcius yesterday when I went out and drove around hunting for light, here are a few nice catches.

These are all terrific, Marcel! I especially love the first one with the sun low in the sky.

Around here, a lot of people who take photos of electric towers get called out on social media. So many people think the worst. Glad you were able to capture some of the towers. :cheerful: There are times I'd like to photograph one but tend to move onto a different subject.

I was slowly driving around to get a nice spot to set the moonrise and then saw that the towers (actually a distribution switch) would frame the moon. Then I had to find a spot to park but eventually did get the shot.

Got this one done Sunday during a winter walk by the river. I really like the light and the colors.

A little photocomposition I did of 2 images freshly done this week. The rain drops in my office windows with X-E2 and the arrow with the X-T2

We had a lecture about long exposures at our local camera club and it got me to take out my tripod and do this shot. Fuji X-H1, 10-24 with ND8+polarizing filters. This is a Hydro power plant right in the middle of Sherbrooke.

I don't understand this. Why?

I don't understand this. Why?

Homeland security doesn't want people taking photos of bridges, buildings, etc - stating that some people might create bombs. But the thing is there are tons of photos available online so it seems like a moot point. :dejection:

It is all on Google anyway. Besides, you can see it with your eyes, and utilities and bridges are no secret. Moot, indeed.

I just had to process another shot from my last long exposure setting at the river. I thought the color was bothering me a bit. So here's my new version with a wider view. It took me a bit of time to find the balance for that warm/cold contrast.

The turtle I met on the cycling path.

Love this image, Marcel. So what would a comparable DX or FX lens be compared with your Fuji? Would it still be considered a wide angle or closer to normal?
