Considering a monopod to use at soccer games.
Shooting a D7100 & 70-200mm f2.8

Any thoughts on the $25 MMCOMPACT-BK? I have a484RC2 ball head already I can use with it.

Weight limit about 3.5 pounds. Not sure that'll be a good choice for your rig.

You will have flex with that. Not solid and stable enough imo.

Description clearly states it's designed for compacts, bridge cameras and entry level DSLR's with small lightweight kit lenses. This 'pod simply wasn't made to support your rig. If you want to stick with Manfrotto take a look at their 290 or 294A4.

Another good choice is the Slik PROPOD-600.
