Dropping in to say hello and introduce myself. I'm an amateur enthusiast photographer from VA, getting back in to the swing of things. About 4 years ago I was scammed out of my current photography setup (Canon 7D and a few lenses) on eBay and just didn't have the funds to get back in, so I went on hiatus. I'm expecting my first child in July so I figured now would be a good time to reinvest so that I can capture all of the special moments with our newly expanded family. I was originally planning on going with a Canon 6D kit to get back in. I knew that I wanted to upgrade to full frame when I returned to the hobby. Then I started doing some searching on the Nikon side and reading reviews about the D750. I was very impressed with what I saw for the price. Still I wasn't quite convinced I wanted to switch from a platform I am super familiar with, that was until yesterday when an Amazon vendor mistakenly listed the D750 kits at the body only price. The second I saw this, I placed my order. I fully expected to receive an email stating the vendor was out of stock or some such shenanigans as at the time of purchase it showed 2 units remaining in stock. Much to my surprise, later in the day I received my shipping confirmation and tracking number! So I ended up snagging the D750 with 24-120mm kit for under $2000, saving us $700! The deal was just too good to pass up. So, here I am, the new owner of a Nikon D750. I am looking forward to sharing photos and learning as much as I can from the other members here. Hope to see you all around very soon! [emoji112]
