macro lens shopping ideas

I will just add another 2 cents; I was in the same situation and was obsessing over which lens to get based on reviews, potential use, etc, etc. I ended up with a Nikkor 105 G....got it yesterday, and the lens is.....well, stunning!

GL in your decision making....I'm sure you will be happy with your choice.

I don't see myself buying the 105G in the near future. It is truly a nice lens and if money was no object I would have it yesterday. I'm still shopping around for the older 105D's and in the mean time I have the tubes to keep me busy. I may still go with the 100 Tokina but have some time yet before the bugs are out again.
