Midwest Photo Exchange Compact OCF Jump Starter Kit

After reading a lot of recommendations from various sites, i thought i would get this.
But unfortunately, the cheapest shipping they offer is around $80.
So that adds up to $175 which is almost double the actual cost.

Does anyone think it's really worth that price with the super expensive shipping cost?

Any other recommendations or should i get any cheap ones off fleabay?

Are you sure you can't get a similar product in India? Maybe in a larger city? Bombay? New Delhi? That's too much to pay for a umbrella on a stick :D

Thanks for the inputs guys...
Am quite sure something would be available here, but have no idea in terms of brands & such.
Not exactly looking for 'brand' per se, but something that has been tried & tested...
Will have to check in some local camera store..

So, any brand of light stands & umbrellas will do the job am guessing?

If you plan to use the stands indoors primarily, cheaper 7' stands will do the trick. If you plan to open/close them frequently or will use them out in the wind, I'd get something more sturdy/dependable.

Initially i would probably use it only indoors as i don't yet know how to use flashes & lighting.
But am guessing sooner or later i may want to use it outside as well... and don't want to be stuck at that point :)
