Mine shot around 600 the first go, but now I get around 1250 per charge. I only shoot jpeg, but I chimp the screen a lot and don't generally turn it off except when changing lenses. Also make sure you are using the newer EN-EL15, rather than the 10 the cameras originally shipped with. Nikon will do an exchange, if you have the older ones.</blockquote>
