Message: <blockquote data-quote="BackdoorArts" data-source="post: 154194" data-attributes="member: 9240">They always run specials on the old version just prior to releasing the new (expected in June?).  LR will not be subscription, as was said.  There is nothing Adobe has ever done that makes me believe that buying LR4 now, particulalry at a discount, will give you a free upgrade path to LR5.  They have been giving away the beta version since early April to whet appetites.  Perhaps a reduced price on the upgrade, which usually seems to sell at about 50%.  LR4 listed at $149 and seems to be selling at just under $100.  Standard upgrade is $79.  I'd just download the free beta of LR5 and wait for them to release the full version and buy then.</blockquote>
