Lighting with reflective glass

A local business wanted some images but part of it was photographing glass which reflects.
Any suggestions to prevent this as what happened here -

You have not indicated what equipment (soft boxes, strips, umbrellas, bare bulb) you are using or how you are using it. Looks like the standard V you mention in another post pointed at the subjects. It appears to me you need to better defuse the light. If you do not have large defusers you could try pointing the the strobes behind you or 180 from current position and bouncing off the walls and ceiling.

The problem with a cylindrical object like the jar is you need even light falling on it from any direction seen by the camera. Easy enough to experiment with the jar without the model.
