Level Missing in Viewfinder

Title says it all. The level has disappeared from the Viewfinder. It's there on the LCD screen. Been through the menus and can't find how to bring it back.

Would hate to have to do a full reset, as I have custom set-ups for U1 and U2 as well as a custom menu setting for slide copies.

NOTE: Turning camera off then back on did not bring it back.

Tried that half a dozen times with no success, before I posted here. Tried it again just now and it worked. Fresh battery so I've got no clues as to what was going on. Grid lines are OK but that VH feature lets you control both tip & tilt.

Thanks, just hoping this was a one off as I find that feature invaluable.

Wish List: Wish that Virtual Horizon worked when pointed straight down. Then I would not have to use the Lumix for copying artwork.

Thanks but it would still have me on leaning over the camera instead of putting the articulated back to good use.

Funny how my Oly Tough and Lumix ZS200 cameras can do it but not the Z50. I think the Z6 I tested was also a fail on that one. Did not see it in the Z50ii changes but time will tell if it's there and just not mentioned. That said since the copy work is an occasional favor for friends the 1" sensor on the Lumix is more than adequate.

There is an option under Custom Settings/Shooting/Display for displaying a grid pattern in the EVF and backscreen. It is item D8 for the Z50. On my Z5 and 7ii it displays 3 equidistant lines both horizontally and vertically, so the center horizontal line is centered. I'm pretty sure it's the same pattern in your Z50.

Personally, I would like an option for third lines, as I find those much more useful for composition framing. For copy work, the fourths grid should do the job.

Thanks for the idea!

Could work on items that are actually rectangular. Will give it a try next time I am asked to do some copies. Been doing this hand held as it just an occasional quick copy or three for friends. I'm retired and don't need either the income or the tax headaches that would go with charging for this.
