I didnt have enough work to warrant investing so much for nikons 2.8 zooms. after 2 years I upgraded everything. bought F5's, SB28 all 2.8 zooms, so I know the situation peole are in when they say I only have X money to deal with. investing so much in a lens wont bring him more work. all I know is that he said $800 was the budget, if you remove the D610 cost.although buying the 24-85 and D610 is a good option as well for the bundle saving</blockquote>
