Lens rental

I'm headed to Glacier Park this summer. I'd like to rent a longer lens for some wildlife shots. If you had the option, would you go for the nikon 80-400 or a sigma 50-500 for a little more reach? I've read the sigma gets a little soft at the 500 end. Thanks for your opinions.

you can buy a used 80-400 for around 750, use it for a week or 2,, and then resell for the same amount, I love my 80-400 lens.

There's a photo store at the entrance at West Glacier that rents Sigma 500mm, Nikon & Canon versions. Last year's price was $65/day.

I would say the Nikon 200-400

Nikon 80-400 because the Sigma is only really good to 400mm. Regardless bring your tripod.
