The Nikon 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR is a good all around sort of lens. The Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED IF AF-S VR is another.

If you want something wider for landscapes look at the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X116 Pro DX.

I have to agree with this. Had all three when I was shooting my D7100.
