No longer owning any zooms (have not had any for years, not a fan of them), I feel your pain, usually from L3 to L5. I have at any given time from 10-11 Nikkor primes from 16mm to 300mm f/2.8 in my bag, along with at least 1 camera body, filters, flash/incident and spot meter, various filters, Kodak Color Data Guide and various and sundry items including film. If I drag my behemouth 600mm f/4 AIS along with me, that is 14 extra pounds if I carry it in the case, about 12 pounds without. And that is only one of my camera bags. The other one always has 1 Hasselblad 500CM body with NC2 prism finder, 3 - 4 film backs, and 5 CZ lenses from 40 to 250mm, filters, plus my two meters from the other bag. It does not happen all that often, but I have been known to lug both bags when I want to shoot both 35mm/FX and 2¼. Throw in a tripod and we are looking at about 75 pounds +/-. But alas, that is the cross we bear for our art!
