Lens caps

I've always been paranoid about losing/dropping lens caps and not being able to protect my lens until I get home. Is there anything out there that can help put my mind at ease? In the past, I had carried around a spare lens cap and just replaced lost ones.

Carrying spare caps is probably the best bet.

There was a thread on here in the past where someone actually secured their lens cap to the camera with a cord or something. Do a search. It looked like just the thing for you. I will also try to find it.
