Message: <blockquote data-quote="BackdoorArts" data-source="post: 399511" data-attributes="member: 9240"><p>I remember a local model airplane club holding a contest for a build your own rubber band powered airplane, with prizes for things like the heaviest to fly (at least 20 seconds) and longest flight.  Someone managed to work out a small, incredibly light plane with a throttle on the rubber band that managed to fly for something like 4 minutes.  It was way the heck up in the rafters of the gym, launched from the top of the bleachers.  I was too young at the time to understand what they heck made it work like that and every time I see one of these I think about it.</p></blockquote><p></p>
