Well. Jinxed myself. All the recent talk of backing up files and extra drives... Last week my 3TB drive arrived in the mail and I had every intent of backing up all my photos to it. My recent hours at work have been crazy and I figured I would wait until the 15th to do this as I will be on leave for the holidays. Two days ago my laptop decided to show me a picture of its own... the BSOD! Since this happened I have been unable to boot the system as it is stuck in some part of the boot up. The drive still spins and makes noise so I know it didnt seize up and it is still getting power. My initial fix, which I will be able to try tomorrow, is purchasing a 2.5 drive enclosure I can use to convert it to a USB drive and attach it to my daughter's computer. Will see if this lets me acces/recover the files. If that doesnt work I guess i will have to visit a tech place / Best Buy to try and fix. We will see. No photo posting until that time though. :disturbed: So my lesson/advice to you all: Do not put off backing up your folders/files. In all honesty it would have taken less than 5 minutes to set it up and do it. I was simply LAZY.
