Why is the physical size if a landscape image so much larger than that of a portrait? Landscape images are 83.333Lx55.556H where as portrait images are only 13.333Wx20H. Why is portrait

Must be something like that because images right out of the camera should have the same pixel dimensions, regardless of orientation, all other things being equal.Hmmm ... I think I may have figured it out. I've been using Windows thumbnail viewer to rotate images instead of using Photoshop canvas orientation. I'll have to do some experimenting.
