Kids Chasing Tadpoles

Here is a film shot of my kids splashing around in the pond...that water is chemically treated and really is that weird color...I think the exposure is all wrong but you just try sunny 16 manual focus film shooting and you tell me...hahaha

But I'm curious what you folks think...I would really appreciate a nold holds barred critical review...tell me how you would do it what you think would make for a better photo.

Take the gloves off you ain't gonna hurt my feelings no way...

(Yeah I know get me a 300s and start all over but that isn't what I am talking about...LOL)

I would re-stage this shot with the sun over my shoulder with the kids facing me and looking for the tadpoles.
A circular polarizer filter to take the reflections out of the water and give the pond a more natural look.
Using the weeds to give a more unrehearsed look was a good compositional idea.
Having the kids crouch down with a closer lens would add a lot more interest because of their expressions.

Thats all I can think of right off the top of my head.

If I offended, that was not my intention. :p

Thank you Pete I am unoffendable when it comes to my photography because I know I'm not that good at it...I just enjoy doing the challenge of trying to make myself better!

I always forget to use my polarizer and I have never really thought about using it on water but that makes a whole lot of sense...learn something new everyday...

I was using the weeds for framing and the arc of the bank as a compositional device...and that is one of my difficulties - I'll think in terms of composition and forget other factors such as lighting or I will think about lighting and forget about composition etc.

If I told those boys to crouch down they would stand bolt upright! LOL

Thanks again Pete I'm going to have to do some experimentation with the polarizer and water shots.
