Kata bumblebee bags

Anyone tried these? They seem to have good reviews on YouTube by people like Matt Granger (That Nikon Guy), but they're very pricey....

Their stuff is waaay too expensive for my blood. I have a $30 backpack camera bag from Amazon that simply rocks. It holds everything I have and has spent an age getting tossed around in the trunk of my car on a daily basis and it still looks like new. Then too, I have a Crumpler $4 Million Home that I carry on my person for probably +95% of my shoots and with that, I'm covered.

I used to own a Kata 3n1-33. Not bad of a bag. But the bumblebee series are way way overpriced.

Nowadays I put my faith, and gear, in Thinktank.

I have not heard of Kata Bumblebee bags but I have a Tamrac Pro 12 bag I got for about a C-note a couple of years ago. It can hold my D700 with the battery pack, another 35mm camera and every lens I own except the 600mm, all of my filters, both my meters and various and other accessories including one of my Sunpak 544 strobes and still close. Of course the bag then weighs about 40 pounds, but you have to take the good with the bad I guess.

The best case I ever had was a Zero Halliburton that I had for my Mamiya 645 Custom fitted for my camera and lenses. You could throw that case off the roof and not hurt the Camera.

I have the same one. It holds 2 bodies with lenses on them plus a myriad of lenses. I had its predecessor for over 20 years until it finally gave up. I love mine.
