[QUOTE="Mis Adam, post: 794987, member: 2815"] Small rant sorry. I have taken two courses in photography through the N.Y.I.P, the fundamentals and the pro course, not to become a professional photographer but to become better at what I love as a hobby. To me it is a little bothersome that people can not just enjoy what they love with out a name or a tag to it these days. I have had many people say to " I don't know you tell me you are the professional" . I have hold my breath and count because in no way or form have I ever betrayed my self as a pro. Just because I took a course means nothing other than satisfaction of what I love. sure compliments are nice who doesn't love them. I guess it drives me nuts that there is so many people that think just because you have a "fancy DSLR" in their eyes you are calling your self a professional photographer. My only question to that, how long was your studies or training if any and have you used and applied the information before you call your self a professional photographer and start charging people for your portraits on a professional level. I see so many gorgeous and wonderful things from people out there that range from the amateur to the Pro and a certified Pro. Whom I love and wish I can create those amazing things on that level one day, but right now its all for fun. I love photography and all it has to offer, but please remember just because I have fancy cameras only means I have a greater love for all kinds of beauty and the way my mind interpret what the eyes see. its not a competition of who's better than who or who has more training, or what style is more amazing. Be you not what you think every one wants you to be. its about who loves it just the same as the next person. My only other wish is that the people that surround me here at home wouldn't be so dramatic because a family member chose my style over theirs. I just wish that I could post in peace with out my subject getting back lash from the dramatic side. For the love of Photography! Thanks for reading and Happy Shooting what ever your style maybe!
