So a while back I bought the Op Tech cheap rain covers and while I was bored I figured I would try it out. It was a little odd putting on but once the eye piece is on it is not bad. I stepped out on the porch  for a few quick images, just to see if it worked. i stayed out until I was drenched figuring that was good enough for a test and then wiped it down and carefully removed the cover to see what was inside. With the exception of the front of the lens it was all dry.
