Its been 34 years today that John Lennon was gunned down in front of his home in New York City.
God Bless for letting me be around to see and hear him doing what he loved.

I disagreed with a lot of things he said but no one deserved to be gunned down in the street like he was. Some of the most memorable Beatles tunes were written by him.

If I based my musical taste on only bands that I agree with politically, I would be missing out on lots of great stuff.:)

The jury is still out whether she actually caused the Beatles to split, but one thing is for sure, they were teetering on breaking up but she sowed the last seeds of hate and discontent that put them over the edge. Paul said she didn't but who knows, She always thought she was better than all of them except John. Paul absolutely detested her, as did George and both were pretty vocal about it. Ringo probably felt the same way but he never really let on. He was always more of a "go with the flow" kind of person.
