It use to house an american sub base in the 80's but that's long since gone. Now for my next ambition. Drive the full west coast of america from San Diego to Seattle. I know San Ysidro is technically the beginning of Americas west coast (well OK the border) but I'm sure They won't mind me missing them out. If I start planning it now.
