Was asked yesterday to help out a friend who owns a craft beer bar and liquor store. She's a "horsie" and was helping the US Equestrian Team by sellingbeer as a fund raiser at one of their events, and given that I seem to know beer and have no problem pouring it for people she asked me if I'd work the stand for most of the day Sunday. Well, it would seem that horse folks are still mostly wine folk, and I had a lot of time to stare at the jumping. I wish I'd known we were going to be as close as we were. I'd figured they put the beer off to the side with no view of anything, but we were right on the edge of the rink. Unfortunately, I showed up ready to work and not shoot photos, so I just had the D7100 and a 24-85mm to do candids of passers by, not wanting to leave the bag out, or in the hot car all day. Note to self, always bring the bag. Here are a couple taken at 85mm. I did manage to catch a couple good shots of her sister, who was competing, and may be able to sell a few. Or more than likely, pass on a couple good will shots with the plan on hitting future shows with her where I spend time shooting and splitting proceeds with the team.
