It's the D850! (says Nikon Rumors).

So it's not the baby D5 ... that pixel density jump will be interesting on the new body. If it had kept the same battery grip it would be more interesting to me.

This is very interesting. Very. If rumours are to be believed. Could this be of a similar equal resolution as a D7200? If so, i wouldn't need a D810 and a D7200. But something is puzzling me, 45-46MP with 8fps+. How is that even possible? i know technology moves on but thats a quantum leap

I wondered the same thing and I'm hypothesizing the D850 will herald either an entirely new processor, e.g. the Expeed 6, or a revamped, "hot-rodded" Expeed 5. Seems to me SOMETHING has to "give" to push that much data to the card/s at that speed. And this camera BETTER have a whopping, big-a$$ buffer to match. If the D850 starts choking after, say, 10 or 15 raw shots, there will be no joy. I predict there will be the exact opposite of joy; possibly something involving torches and pitchforks.

I have been seeing preorder messages pop up at suppliers, however:

1) They take preorders for the D850, for early adopters, without knowing it seems what they are really selling.
2) They have no clue when it will arrive, first pre-orders get the first bodies that come in.

Is this only for VLoggers, or are others convinced the new D850 will solve the issues with their pictures?? :shame:
