Itchy feet

Well sitting here at work with only a few more nights to go I am getting itchy feet to pack up my car and go camping, I will be looking at going somewhere with no people and the only company I will have is my two dogs. Now the hard part is deciding where to go :)

Do the dogs handle your shooting okay?

I keep debating taking our dog with me when I go out around the lake, but she stays pretty excited and seems like she would be more apt to scare off the wildlife.

Wildlife would be out of the question, but landscape and night photos would be ok.

That's an issue I have too. They're great at ruining my shots whether it is wildlife which they find even more interesting than me or when shooting macro and they decide to pay me a visit trampling my "scene".

But on the other hand, they're great trackers and often spot birds I didn't notice and chase them allowing me to take some BiF I'd otherwise have missed. And since they flee from the dogs, occasionally they fly into my direction which is a bonus.

It's love and hate when shooting with dogs. ;)

Yeah but sometimes it is not about getting the shots, sometimes it is about relaxing and camping with your furry mates :)
