Issues logging on to Nikon site

I went to register a couple things on the NikonUSA site today and had a fit trying to log on. I had just reset the password three weeks ago when I registered my D600, so I knew there was nothing wrong with it. Turns out that when it asks for your "Email Address" what it wants is the ID that they want you to create associated with the email address. Is it just me, or is it absolutely ridiculous that 1) it doesn't specifically ask for your ID but in every instance asks for an email, and 2) that it won't accept either the ID or the email?

Just needed to vent. Stuff like this makes me nuts.

I log in to Nikon USA all the time and I just logged in with the email address I used to register. Nothing has changed for me.

Let me ask you this, do you have an alternate ID associated with the MyNikon account? I couldn't create one without it, and it won't let me delete or reset it.

No alternate ID. Only the email address I used to register. I log in using that email address.

i just check my sign in and every thing worked ok once i used the correct password. My e-mail and id are set the same, why they have an id i have not a clue. In the past i have had problems signing in and it is a royal pain.

Thanks, Ron. Maybe I just need to change my ID so it matches my email address and be done with it. Sort of ridiculous to have to do it though, if you ask me.
