Iso lo

On the D750 I have the option to go below ISO 100. From what I read it can improve contrast a bit but is there any benefit or disadvantage to using it? Besides the practical aspect of having an extra stop in certain situations?

Does it have any effect on quality at all or is it identical to ISO 100 in that?

It's that indeed.

I've been shooting some with the LO settings today and didn't see much difference. If there's no advantage besides an extra stop when needed, I won't bother using it.

Never went below what's native. The native is native for a reason. From what I've read in the past going below a stop is much the same as going 1 stop over. Like j-see stated, the only advantage is to get the setting you want out of the other variables.
