Is there a difference between a wireless remote control and interval time shooting?

I've noticed with interval time shooting option, it blurs out some parts of the picture. I have the starter lens (18-55mm) and I'm planning to buy the 50mm, but only in a month, so until then, I'm wondering if the remote control will help with the blurring/will focus more?

Using the interval timer on the camera should have nothing to do with "blurring" your photo. I suspect that you have the camera in autofocus mode, and on each photo it will re-engage the autofocus and may choose something different depending on the lighting. Whenever shooting intervals it's best to set the camera fully as you want it, exposure and focus, and then put those things that you want locked in "as is" in manual mode. I always set the focus point and then switch the lens to Manual Focus so it does not change. Whether or not I lock in the exposure will depend on how I expect the light to change over the interval. If I allow exposure to change then I am almost always in Aperture Priority mode so that I can lock in my depth of field for each shot.

These things are the same whether using the camera's interval timer or an external remote.
