I hear ya, I have both and use the eye-fi card more and thats why I brought it up. And no worries, just thinking out loud and you didnt bother me. I like the wireless because it stays in the camera and I transfer later or I can transfer to my phone and upload to flickr real quick. With the card reader its another item you have to keep up with and its pretty small. I spent a week with 2 16g cards and never filled them up. I shot 6 youth baseball games, trip to the zoo, KC game, CWS. I think I took around 700 photos and only kept 350, so you can always review your photos on camera and delete if you dont want. I try to stay pretty light when carrying things because I dont like having my bag on me or leaving it by the dugout, so I use the wireless card which does jpg and then transfer and review on the Ipad. Not sure what I will do on vacation, I know some that just buy extra cards and deal with it when they get back. I like the idea of having them on a card and another device. Good luck in your decision and post back what you figure out and what works. This question comes up on forums all the time.
