Before you go, for the D7100, there is a setting change you need to make before using a remote. On my bodies, there is a release mode dial. It's one of the settings where you choose single, continuous, quiet mode, mirror up etc. One of those is for a remote control. Having used that wireless remote, I found it works better when standing in front of the camera rather than behind. When I use it for slow shutter speeds, quite often I have to reach around the camera slightly to get it to work.

Edited to change camera model from D3200 to D7100.

I ordered it for £17 - Xmas present money has paid for it. :) It should come in handy for me as I am disabled and anything to make life easier is a bonus for me.
