Hi everybody; I've discovered some strange behaviour in the Indoor/Party mode. I've checked tha manual, my copy of "From Snapshots to Great Shots", and forums, but did not find anything. I'm pretty sure this is a problem of my camera, but the experts' opinion are always more than welcome (and more for a newbie like me). I've recently acquired a D5100 (this is my first SLR camera). Testing the automatic modes I found the following issue: In the Indoor/Party Mode, the camera takes the picture approximately a second after pressing the shutter. The Exposure Delay option is turned off. After doing some other tests, I found that the problem is not the Indoor/Party Mode itself, but the flash. If I use this mode without flash, there is no delay when taking the picture. The delay appears when the flash is turned on. To do some further checking, I've also taken pictures with the dial set to A, trying to match the same aperture/shutter speed conditions that the camera used when shooting in the Indoor/Party Mode, and there is no delay (with the flash turned on). This does not seem to be a significant problem (I try to avoid automatic modes) but it is not very funny to have such a camera with a malfunction on the nose. But the fact that really annoys me is that I do not know if this problem could manifest in some other settings... Thanks in advance.
