I'm going to sell some of my music gear that I haven't used in years to pay for a D7100.
Does anyone know of any sites besides e-bay that this can be accomplished?
I can't really use e-bay since I never sold anything on there and have no reputation at all.

Kijiji is your best bet although you need to be careful with who you're dealing with. I haven't sold anything in ebay either but I don't think you need to have any reputation to sell anything there. If people want your gear they will bid for it. You gotta start somewhere, I suppose. I usually sell my music gear in a forum for canadian guitar players. The only thing with most forums that allow you to buy/sell stuff, they require you to pay for a membership.

You might wanna try looking for local online sites that sell used items too,

I think that Kijiji is a Canadian thing and probably not available in the US. Their equivalent is Craig's list.

Thanks. I looked at Reverb.com as well. Gonna give that a go.

I've found that Craigslist is hit or miss. I started selling off my equipment when I stopped playing live on the road. A lot of the mics, cables, stands, wireless units, and a few amps etc, were sold to other bands. All the rest of the amps and a few guitars were sold through Craigslist. I only had a few "characters" answer the ads. The rest of the people were ok to deal with. But you gotta be careful.....

Online: If the item is convenient to ship, ebay is your best option to maximize your selling price. We all have to start someplace with an ebay 'reputation' :)
Price is to include shipping and offer 'FREE' shipping in your listing, it will increase your buyer pool.

Use Craigslist and Kiji. It's easy to weed out the morons. Ebay also offeres a free online classified service that gives great exposure.

Most my eBay experience has been with selling computer gear, but it has always been easier to use eBay than it has been trying to use Craigslist for me. Granted, the things I put on craigslist are more like furniture and crap, so that may be a part of it. Start building the eBay rep and go from there.

So how is the selling going buddy? I'm rooting for ya! :)

I found this place Reverb.com where I sold my JV-90, plus I put up some microphones, and my SansAmp PSA-1.
I'm going to try e-bay now as well.

I learned a lesson today though. Don't under estimate shipping costs.
