Hello.

I recently purchased a D200 and a D300 camera from an auction house.

I am very please with my purchase, but I do need batteries and a memory stick or card with the cameras.

Does anyone have any recommendations for what I need to purchase and where I can buy these items.

My understanding is that I am best with Nikon battery, but, where can I buy it?

Memory stick/card, where can I buy this as well?

Please let me know since I have been using my Nikon f3 35mm film since 1989.

Thank you.

Welcome.
Both the D200 and D300 use the EN-EL3e battery and both use CompactFlash also known as CF card. When I needed a CF card for my camera I was able to pick up one locally. An internet search will locate sources for the battery. If you can still find a new battery the retail price for the Nikon was $63.95. I recently picked up a used spare battery for my D810/D7100 from MPB and it looks like the have used EN-EL3e's for $7. Others may recommend their favorite third party battery.

Links to download the manuals if you haven't already.

Just an addendum to @Needa he is referring to the old style Compact Flash (CF) cards. There is a new standard card for current cameras called CFExpress and that is a very different thing. Something to remember while shopping.
